UnWokable Part 5: Where Did He Go?
Moving out of Oklahoma to lead church music in Texas once again
In the past fifteen months of first reporting on John Mark Ousley, Mr. UnWokable, a lot has changed. Mostly, it has been the quick decay of his relationships with people in Oklahoma. A force that quickly appeared on social media, fleshed into a political persona, made ripples in the pool of politics, and has quietly melted into the nothingness at the back of people’s minds.
Not with me. I don’t easily forget academic and political charlatans.
In May of this year, UnWokable went silent on his social media platforms, with the 27th being the last day of any activity. This is quite unusual for him, where he would tweet and retweet (a lot of himself) many times a day.
Though he blocked me when I dared to reach out to him for an interview last year, I have maintained a constant watch over his accounts. I’ve reported on his persistent lies and half-truths, his version of history and his own victimhood status. And when I saw that he apparently walked away from his bloated social media soap box, I knew something was happening.
Honestly, I believed he was moving, but his landing spot was not on my radar. You see, Reader, Ousley has long had his wagon hitched to James A. Lindsay, traveling around Oklahoma and other states, speaking at events. Following in his steps had to be the goal, right?
As I’ve said on social media posts, the specifics on how this relationship manifested is beyond my knowledge. Neither one, that I’ve seen, has ever acknowledged how they met and began to form an anti-Woke alliance. However, I’ve always viewed their relationship like this: Lindsay is Dracula, and Ousley is Renfield, with Ousley barely sustaining his ambitious hunger with flies and bugs, the remnants that Lindsay sweeps onto the floor from the table of success. Did Ousley finally get tired of not having a seat at the table?
If you really want to see the effects of this, do a little research into who all has turned their back to Ousley, only to immediately stand next to Lindsay. Here is one example.
So where has Ousley been the past two months? Texas, where he he once again finds himself leading music at a church. We all know what happened last time: an affair, a sex tape, and blackmail. Maybe this time will be different.
To catch up with Ousley and his new job as Music Minister at The Church at Horseshoe Bay, read this article from Newsbreak, courtesy of The Highlander.

It appears that The Church at Horseshoe Bay is really excited to have Ousley lead their music, where he has already been ordained. Here are two pictures from their Facebook page.
One wonders if The Church at Horseshoe Bay is truly informed on Ousley’s past and his political beliefs. It might not matter because Ousley may have decided to let those issues no longer be part of his life. If there is any evidence to this, one can look at the church’s website, where they discuss their Values Statement. Part of it says this:
Diversity and Inclusion leaped off the page to my eye, and maybe yours, too, Reader. The Values Statement is lacking Equity, but it contains two of the very tenets that Ousley has railed against the past few years. In truth, did Ousley finally bend the knee, or did he find a more suitable audience for his brand?
Reader, I am not sure if this will be the last article I ever write on John Ousley. Is he looking for a life outside of the political realm? Is being a Music Minister, and quite possibly becoming a public school teacher in the Austin area, enough for him. Time will tell. Until then.
